Jika anda menemukan error pada saat update PCLinuxOS melalui synaptic seperti dibawah ini:
The repository might be no longer available or could not be contacted because of network problems. If available an older version of the failed index will be used. Otherwise the repository will be ignored. Check your network connection and the correct writing of the repository address in the preferences.Could not open lock file /var/lib/apt/lists/lock - open (2 No such file or directory)

Maka langkah yang harus dilakukan adalah masuk user dengan user root, kemudian buka file manager (nautilus, dolphin, konqueror, pcmanfm, thunar, atau yang lainnya).

Periksa folder berikut
1) /var/cache/apt/
2) /var/lib/apt/
Hapus semua isi folder yang ada di folder tersebut di atas, Jika sudah menuju ke masing-masing folder berikut:
1) /var/cache/apt/Buatlah folder “archives” → huruf kecil.Kemudian buka folder archives. → /var/cache/apt/archives/Buat kembali folder “partial” → Huruf kecil.

2)/var/lib/apt/Buatlah folder “lists” → huruf kecilKemudian buka folder lists → /var/lib/apt/lists/Buat kembali folder “partial” → huruf kecil

Selesai, keluar user, kemudian masuk kembali ke user biasa, coba gunakan synaptic, dan reload. Semoga berhasil.
